"Hireaband was such an easy way to book the Scoundrels for our wedding. From start to finish, communication was great and we didn’t have to worry about anything. This was the third family wedding the Scoundrels have performed for and they just get better and better! Gerry has such an amazing stage presence and has a way of getting the crowd going. The ceilidh dancing was amazing and they did all of our requests! Our first dance was quite a tricky song but they managed it so well and we were delighted. Thanks so much! "

"The Scoundrels were absolutely exceptional at our wedding in June this year. Honestly, we could not have asked for a better band to provide the soundtrack to our special day.
Hireaband put us in touch with Gerry, from the Scoundrels, about a month out from the wedding and their communication was superb from day one. From helping us choose our first dance song, to keeping us in the loop regarding the set up for the day itself. We had an idea of the dance we wanted to have as our first dance song but we'd told the guys that dancing in front of lots of people was our worst nightmare and Gerry came up with a fantastic to make the song more upbeat and, honestly, it was the best version of the tune we've ever heard. All of the guys were dressed incredibly smartly and just having them there added to the wedding big time.
It's no exaggeration to say that pretty much all of our guests have told us that The Scoundrels were the best band they have ever heard at a wedding and we couldn't agree more. I wish I had the words to properly sum up how good they were but it is impossible to put into words. All I can do is to implore you to book them for your big day - you absolutely won't regret it!

About us

If you’re looking for a great wedding and function band that offers something a little different, we might be just what you’re after.

Take six good friends that have performed together for more years than some of us care to remember, combine a love of a good tune, give it a bit of an Irish accent and add a love of entertaining a lively crowd and you've got The Scoundrels.

Confetti Award Winners 2021

We aren't exactly your typical wedding or function band but that's probably why you've taken the trouble to find out more about us in the first place. Will we play songs you'll recognise? Of course. Will we get the dance floor busy? Guaranteed. Will you and your guests have a great night with one of the liveliest bands in the country? Oh aye.

We've played in every kind of venue you can think of, from castles to civic centres, pubs to palaces (we're not joking) in car parks, on the back of lorries and once ... well, we won't go into that. So no matter your venue, posh, plain, big or small, whether it's a wedding, a wake, a product launch or simply an excuse for a piss up, we'll be very happy to provide the soundtrack.

Take a look at our playlist to see how wide a range of songs we offer, all performed in our own Scoundrels style. If you've never heard Sweet Child of Mine or Thunderstruck played on a banjo and fiddle before, if you love the idea of hearing Elvis and Daft Punk performed with our signature 'FunkyFolk' sound, book us and prepare for an education.

We don't apologise for not looking and sounding like every other wedding band you've ever seen, but who wants the same wedding as everyone else? The fact that you're considering us already puts you among the minority of people who don't want to follow the herd. Hats off to you!

We'll make sure you and your guests have as much fun as we do and we promise you'll have an event that you'll remember for years.

If you're interested in finding out if we're available and you'd like to get a quote, you can get both instantly by filling in the wee enquiry form at the top right-hand side of this page. Hopefully we'll see you soon.
